Former chair of the urban planning and development authority, Qatar
Holder of a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Miami, Florida, USA.
He has previously held various positions, including Managing Director of the Urban Planning and Development Authority, Director of the Land Information Center, Head of the Public Survey Department at the former Ministry of Municipal Affairs and agriculture, Deputy chair of the Border Demarcation Committee between the State of Qatar and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He has membership in many committees and boards, including the boards of Directors of the Public Works Authority, Qatari Diar, Qatar National Hotels Company, Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy- Qatar 2022, Qatar Rail, Kahramaa, and Doha International Airport Steering Committee, Qatar Bahrain Causeway Foundation, National Traffic Safety Committee, and the Infrastructure Committee.
