Mohammed Al Asmakh leads Operations at Katara Hospitality, and a senior member of the Asset Management at the company. Prior to that Mohammed has worked throughout various functions within Katara Hospitality Head Office and its portfolio of hotels in Qatar.
A professional who grew up in the family luxury hospitality business, Mohammed played an integral part in creating destinations in Qatar. A seasoned young-talent who carries successful track record of delivering results underpinned by a collaborative and contemporary leadership style to provide vision and growth within the luxury travel and hospitality industry.
In his capacity, Mohammed oversees Katara Hospitality’s internal operating platform which manages a collection of boutique upscale hotels and brands in Qatar offering contemporary hospitality steeped in cultural heritage.
In Katara Hospitality he is handling the business development department to manage the development of identified opportunities for revenue growth from existing operational assets and/or diversification opportunities so that income is maximized and identified potential areas of cost reduction or performance improvement opportunities are capitalized upon.
Prior to that he was part of Qatari Diar real estate company which I joined Europe team where we planned gainful master plan that fits within the city of London while following the governmental regulations, municipality requirements, preservation of heritage & sustainability for Chelsea Barracks project.
Likewise, he worked closely in the U.S. Embassy Chancery building (Rosewood hotel) project which includes the budget, cost estimate, required approvals, design criteria/limitations, and the deliverables list. Moreover, secure the hotel operator and utilization of areas from the initial stage to insure the highest profit from the first day of operation.
